A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that feature. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Montour County Criminal History does not keep a separate log or stored copy of those query terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to review and answer it. Messages remain within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
Basic technical details are recorded when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and timestamps
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Internet Protocol address assigned to the device
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- A referring website, when one supplied the visit

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Montour County Criminal History does not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It identifies official custodians such as Montour County courts and prison, the Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository, and the Pennsylvania Megan's Law Public Website. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a third-party criminal file. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy terms, retention schedules, and sharing rules apply to information entered there. Review the selected partner's policy before submitting a query because this policy does not govern its system.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to official county offices, Pennsylvania agencies, court portals, legal resources, and outside search providers. Once a visitor follows one, the destination's privacy policy controls. Check it before giving that service personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. That tracking takes place on their systems.

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A verified report that a minor supplied such data will be addressed by deleting it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Pennsylvania law may provide additional rights. The Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law governs access to public agency records, while the Criminal History Record Information Act, 18 Pa.C.S. Chapter 91, governs state criminal-history collection and dissemination. Neither law turns this private site into a government record custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal information held about that visitor
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Opt out of eligible forms of processing
